We are excited to share about our upcoming move to Boston, MA.
Boston University is one of the largest private universities in the country, with a vibrant student body of over 30,000. It’s urban campus in the heart of Boston, is home to several thousand Jewish students, giving BU one of the largest Jewish populations among all private universities.
Since 1985 our parents, Rabbi Shmuel and Chani Posner have been illuminating the Jewish student experience at the Chabad House of Greater Boston.
In recent years, much of student life—dorms, activities, and off-campus housing—has been moving further into BU’s West Campus. Stretching over two miles away, Jewish students in the area are left without a place to call home!
We are excited to launch Chabad West at Boston University—a new home for Jewish students, right where it’s needed most.
Chabad West is fully independent, relying entirely on the support of friends like you. Our campaign goal is to raise $75,000 to cover start-up expenses and initial programming aiming to create a warm and inviting space for Jewish students.
$1,800: Sponsor a month of Shabbos dinners.
$770: Gift a semester of Torah study to tens of students
$360: Sponsor a social event to welcome new students into the community.
Together, we can ensure that every Jewish student at BU has a place to belong, grow, and be proud.
Together, we can turn this vision into reality and create a brighter future for Jewish life at Boston University.
With much appreciation,
